    Offers adult performers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) — including autism — and other social and behavioral needs the opportunity to create original performances for live audiences with the help of volunteer mentors and theatre professionals. 
     

  • CSAAC / Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children (Montgomery Village & Brookeville, Maryland) - Provides direct services to children and adults diagnosed with autism across their lifespan to enable individuals to achieve their highest potential and contribute as confident members of their community. 

 

 

 

  • Great and Small (Boyds, Maryland) - Provides various horse-related therapies and programs for people with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

 

  • Star Community Inc. / Equestrian Center (Hagerstown, Maryland) - Offers a vibrant, innovative community comprised of 10 distinct residences, a day program, and an equestrian program located on 145 acres.

 

 

  • The Whole Self Center (Gambrills, Maryland) – Provides those with autism Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS), Respite Care, Family Consulting, Adult Life Planning, and Therapeutic Integration. 

 

  • Up County Community Resources / UCR (Rockville, Maryland) - Offers innovative programs, events, and social opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles, friendships, self-awareness, and personal development for community members with developmental and intellectual differences.

 

  • ZamDance (Gaithersburg, Maryland) - A high impact dance fitness program for children and adults with developmental differences. The program introduces a structured environment while allowing the students to move at their own pace. Students are entertained and happily engaged  while learning such dance steps as merengue, jazz, and hip-hop.

 

 

Massachusetts

 

  • AANE / Asperger / Autism Network (Watertown, Massachusetts) - Offers a comprehensive array of programs and services responsive to the needs of the various sectors of the AS community - adults with AS, teens with AS, parents of individuals with AS, partners of adults with AS, and educators and other professionals. 

 

  • Bina Farm Center (Lexington & Wellesley, Massachusetts) - Provides a comprehensive therapeutic and recreational environment utilizing equine-assisted activities and therapies, vocational training programs, and creative and complementary therapies for children and adults with physical, developmental and emotional challenges.

  • The Boston Higashi School (Boston, Massachusetts) - Provides young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder with the opportunity to reach their full potential through the methodology of Daily Life Therapy®, a unique educational philosophy developed by the late Dr. Kiyo Kitahara of Tokyo, Japan 

 

  • Melmark New England (Andover, Massachusetts) – Provides programs and services that help each individual served to achieve their highest level of independence and confidence, and to become active members of their communities.
